Our Bitters & Botanicals collection features five distinct, herbalist-formulated digestif bitters alongside an ever-expanding selection of oxymels. Though widely embraced in modern beverage culture, these preparations originate as medicinal and nutritive foods. Bitters sharpen and open the palate; oxymels offer a balanced interplay of sour and sweet. Together, they reflect a tradition of flavor that is as functional as it is pleasurable.
Midsömmar Apothecary
Midsommar Apothecary began in a 1930s summer cottage in Ephraim, Wisconsin- simple, bright, and close to the water. A traditional greenhouse stood alongside it, with clear nighttime views of Door County’s dark, star-filled skies.
A few years later, we moved just north to Sister Bay. Our storefront now looks out toward the Lake Michigan shoreline and the village bandshell. This is a place shaped by the seasons, lively in summer and kept by a smaller, steady community through winter. We’re open year-round, and you can find us here in the ether anytime.
