Cherry Mule
The most popular old-school shrub is the Haymaker. Made with ginger and lemon, it kept people hydrated to harvest from dusk to dawn—hence, “Make hay while the sun shines.” Back in the day, it was discovered that our rocky Door County terrain allows drainage that protects orchard trees and is crucial for the picky cherry—but not nearly so friendly to field crops. Here in orchard country, we’ve added tart cherry and nourishing roots & herbs to our rendition, fixings for a real-thing crafted mule~ with or without the vodka.
SUGGESTED USES:
Sipper: Add 1-2 Tablespoons to 6-8 oz still or sparkling water. Keep it bright and tart, or add a bit of honey to sweeten.
Mixer: Mix 1-2 Tablespoons into your choice of beverage. It’s lovely in freshly made lemonade or tonic.
For a fabulous cocktail, with or without liquor, include our Midsömmar Craft Bitters to enhance flavor complexity and digestif qualities.
