Woodchopper
The first European settlers between Sister Bay and Appleport were thirteen Swedes who came as woodchoppers to fell timber in the fall of 1867. Staying well and keeping sturdy for chopping wood through winter at the edge of Lake Michigan is no small feat. Here, we offer our northwoods version of the classic farmer's shrub—with locally foraged, native white pine needle, juniper berry and bee balm, for a crisp, aromatic and invigorating addition to drinks, cocktails, dressings and marinades.
Suggested Uses:
Sipper: Add 1–2 tablespoons to 6–8 oz still or sparkling water.
Keep it bright and tart, or add a bit of honey to sweeten.
Mixer: Mix 1–2 tablespoons into your choice of beverage.
It's lovely in freshly made lemonade or tonic.
For a fabulous cocktail, with or without liquor, include Midsömmar Craft Bitters to enhance flavor complexity and digestif qualities.
This is a natural product and will tend to
settle. Shake before use.
