Midsömmar Full Consultation
This is the consult for people seeking comprehensive assessment, review and guidance on wellness from a holistic perspective, emphasizing both traditional and modern principles of herbalism.
This is for people who consider an herbalist to be a valuable resource in their collective, which will usually include a range of both conventional and holistic practitioners. This is also for people with significant chronic or complex conditions and concerns, who are looking for adjunct or complementary wellness strategies.
Sometimes, this is for people with longterm concerns that have been unmet through other systems of care, who are interested in learning more about herbal approaches.
What you can expect: An extensive Midsommar Herbal Consultation Intake Form is completed and submitted ahead of time for me to preview. You’re welcome to exclude questions that you feel are irrelevant to the counsel you’re seeking from me. During the initial conversation, we will review the answers together, and I will ask further questions. We will discuss current health concerns, medical history, family health, diet, sleep, exercise, stress, pain and overall well-being. We will discuss your logistic, family, work and lifestyle needs, to ensure that the suggestions made are feasible for your personal situation and reflect your wellness priorities. After our conversation, I will provide you with a written review that includes dietary, herbal and lifestyle suggestions.
I ask for a week after an appointment to evaluate the information and write your program. This is emailed to you. Once you have a chance to review it, we speak by appointment to discuss it, and I can answer any questions you may have at that time.
Midsömmar Full Consultations are 90 minutes long, with a 30 minute follow up to go over your proposed program. You will be emailed the Intake Form, as well as the Informed Consent Form upon checkout.
Please complete the Intake Form at least 3 days before your appointment.
Please note: You MUST check the box to sign up for our emails at checkout to receive important information about your consultation.
"The couples approach to changing it up has really helped us. Both of our labs are better, he has less back pain and I have less knee pain, and our relationship has improved. We were expecting the nutrition and supplement advice, but didn't realize how extensive the 'holistic lifestyle' recommendations would be. We're in the nightly habit of taking tinctures in the Wood Chopper shrub per your suggestion, and it's now my favorite part of the evening ritual. We love telling people we have an herbalist!"

About Elizabeth Moriarty
I've been working as an herbalist and apothecary for over 30 years, both as a clinical practitioner and medicine maker. My training is substantially autodidactic, which is commonly the case for herbalists who've been practicing for a long time in this country. I am a student of both traditional and modern languages of medicine, through books, work with plants and work with people - along with the many and various teachers and mentors I've been fortunate to study with personally and through programs, classes, conferences and herbal community.
