Medicine Garden
Is there anything an herbalist enjoys more than her medicine garden? It’s a reprieve, and without time with the plants themselves, the part of our work that matters most becomes distant. Traversing into the woods, away and into wild places is crucial, of course, but there’s something necessary about the relationships we have with plants that we tend. Here are some beloveds from an old-school medicine-maker’s garden.
Body Butter & Oil: Begin with a shower or bath, and apply afterward while still wet. A little goes a long way and properly absorbs to hydrate skin without leaving an oily feel. For the Spa Treatment: Apply oil and massage for deeper penetration.
Aromasol: Spray on people and places as desired.
